Many developer "volunteer days" build non-profit web sites on Wordpress that fail to meet many user needs for the non-profits that the developers are trying to help. The permissions system on Joomla makes it much better match for non-profits who must manage a large number of volunteers with restricted access to site functions and information. For example, fund raisers need access to sensitive donation information that event planners do not. This session will talk about how the Joomla permissions system when used with CiviCRM can satisfy complex user requirements where Wordpress totally fails, and Drupal is overwhelmingly complex.
